Community Programs and Events

Save the Date!

You are the one the world is waiting for. On November 17, 2018 Carry the Vision and Santa Clara County Board Supervisor Dave Cortese and our partners are hosting a community wide event where each of us we will be inspired to Be the One. Our honored guest at this event will be Ms. Ela Gandhi, peace activist and leader of the nonviolence movement, and granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi, to share stories, inspiration, and lessons from her grandfather, and how we can apply them today to meet the opportunity and responsibility before us.

There is a calling within each of us—a call to love, to speak and live in truth, a call to insist upon justice for all. We discover this calling by recognizing what we care for most deeply in life and choose to stand for it. When we speak to that calling, we acknowledge it in ourselves and in one another. When we invite that forth it rises, it convenes, it brings us together, it changes lives and communities and transforms the world. This is what Be the One, a community gathering with Ela Gandhi is all about.

The questions then arise—but how does this happen? What can I do that would make a difference? It starts when we decide to Be the One. We make a simple and profound commitment to one thing that is in alignment with what we value the most. It’s like an experiment, we watch those simple and profound acts grow, transform, and ripple out into the world.

We invite you to be a part of our special event. Engage now in the call to action that unites and bridges us by sharing a financial donation that will support the success of this event that will gather hundreds of people from all sectors and backgrounds to change the world right here in Silicon Valley. Your generous contribution of any amount makes all the difference.  DONATE
